Today saw the ''Big Schools Birdwatch' where seabirds featured, with Herring Gulls being recorded and signs of Storm Petrels were in the classroom!

Today the team returned to Tean, St Helens and Northwethal to monitor the bait take and any sign on the chocolate wax. They record everything they find and replace anything suspicious, including cholcolate wax nibbled by shrews.
As with this project, shearwater chicks have successfully fledged from the island of Molokai, Hawaii.
Today Secondary School pupils at Five Islands School sang a christmas song to wish our Manx shearwaters Feliz Navidad!
St Mary's Primary school classes - 'Yellow and Green classes' today joined the project, they saw footage of the chicks from September and drew a Christmas card for the Manx shearwaters in Brazil - to wish them Feliz Navidad (Merry Christmas in Spanish) as they are currently down in Brazil over winter!
Thanks to Rebecca Etheridge for assisting the check of the permanent monitoring stations across St Agnes and Gugh today. We had lots of sign of Scilly shrews. Thanks also the the community members who continue to check stations on their land and around potential incursion hotspots.
