Due to fog, today's trip brought some unexpected guests onto the boat! Reed warblers and redstart amoung them.

Each Friday a Wildlife Guide onboard the Scillonian III Ferry point out wildlife seen from the ferry to the passengers. This week over 150 Manxies were seen which the passengers loved to see. 

Today as part of the Walk Scilly Festival 2016, Lydia guided the first of four project walks with assistance from Holly.

Lydia, Project Officer has recorded the first Manx shearwaters back in burrows tody - welcome back from South America Manxies! 

Project Officer Lydia Titterton visited the island of Lundy (Bristol Channel) to help install Manx Shearwater nest boxes and to learn how we can further help our nesting Manxies on St Agnes and Gugh.

Manx shearwaters are back! We have not heard them on the islands yet, but the Scillonian Guide saw over 50 from the Scillonian today. Welcome back from South America Manxies! 

Today saw the return of our wonderful wildlife guides pointing out birds and cetaceans from the Scillonian Ferry. Thanks to Wildlife Guide Brian Craven, highlights included skoters, auks, a sunfish, a bottlenose dolphin and one Manx shearwater - the first one to start heading back from South America?
