The local news ‘ ITV West-Country’ came to report on the first day of baiting today. They flew to the islands on the first flight of the day to capture the excitement on this important day in the project.
Presenter Steve Harding spent the morning with Biz Bell (WMIL) and Project Manager Jaclyn Pearson learning about the project and what is involved in the baiting phase. They filmed the team in action placing the bait in the 966 bait stations across the islands of St Agnes and Gugh. They interviewed local resident Tim Hicks, who explained how important the project was to him and his business at Troytown farm and campsite.
