Members of the Volunteer Ranger team assisted the project this week by camping and getting stuck into all the field survey work. The project is learning about the wider effects the removal of rats may have had on other species; rabbits, shrews, insects, plants and land birds.
From 6am starts carrying out land bird surveys to full day surveys carrying out sampling of the invertebrates, plants and shrews, to late eveniong rabbit surveys using a head torch - the team have worked really hard - thanks for all your work!
