Today the Council of the Isles of Scilly Children’s Services ‘Holiday Club’ joined the project. We carried out a ‘seabird treasure hunt’. We found signs of nesting seabirds and other wildlife and carried out a beach clean to take away the plastic treasures and nets washed up on the beach as these items can harm marine wildlife. The children learnt how to use binoculars and said they had a great time learning all about the islands important seabirds. They are ornithologists in the making!
