Year 9 Music class, 'Nature in Music project'

Year 9 music class students created wonderful project videos.First Place: Andy Erentraut and Jo Wright. Their inspirational video featured iconic project footage of seabirds and special places on the islands, with narration and text .

Manx shearwater chicks August - September 2014. These chicks have survived this year due to the removal of the rats.

Manx shearwater, Wingletang, St Agnes - under the cover of darkness they leave their chick in the burrow to head out to sea to feed.

Manx shearwaters filmed at night on Bryher. Rats are the biggest threat to shearwaters on land.

Scilly shrews....It is not just seabirds set to benefit from the removal of rats on St Agnes and Gugh 

Five Islands Secondary School Music class pupils sing the 'Manx shearwater Christmas song'.

They wish the Manx shearwaters over wintering off Brazil 'Feliz Navidad' (Merry Christmas in Spanish!). The chidren sang about the behaviour of the seabirds 'FLAP, FLAP, FLAP' and how to help our seabirds by reporting a RAT RAT RAT!
